“Betel nut beauty,” the female shop assistant at betel nut stands, has been a unique sub-cultural phenomenon in Taiwan. The betel nut industry relies on young sexy girls to attract customers. We draw our main visual motifs from the female physical beauty. we use the common neon colors of the betel nut stand--fluorescent powder and fluorescent green--are used as the main colors. We use a round font for characters on our signs to suggest betel nut leaves and we make the frame evocative of betel nut leaves which cover the stand and the girl.

Inspired by the female pose while attracting their customers, we use the flat geometric style to set off the female curvaceous bodies.
